It is quite amazing what one finds when observing things outside of the extremes we face day to day. In this case, Washington, driving and snow don't always mix too well, especially when we see so little of it in the Metro areas.

Taking time off from models for a spell I took the chance on tracking down, studying, following and photographing the Bald Eagle journey through Washington this winter.

Amber, though very new to the modeling gig, is extremely creative and has a lot of potential for the creative and artistic side of modeling. She looks quite striking in the Renaissance themed images.

What fun! What Joy! The wonders of the color of Fall. I really didn't take notice of such beauty until I started really working on my 'Photographers Eye'

There is so much that is missed when trapped in day to day life.

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her worth is far above rubies...."

When you view interviews with these supermodels (and after -carefully- purusing Victorias Secret catalogs) it is interesting to note that the women that succeed greatly in the modeling business are also the ones with the best developed character.

Humility, integrity, soul, care of them selves and others is of great importance, for if one takes care of oneself then one is able to better give of oneself to another.

Such is what modeling is, giving of oneself to the viewer, so that the photographer may capture true beauty.

Most models simply haven't gotten this down, though they are a 'success'. As I work more and more with my themes to 'bring back the beauty in femininity' I am finding that the women (most of them) that have bought off on the mainstream mens magazines have simply sold out there womanhood, and to boot - precious years of youth which allow for a woman to develop continuually into the beautiful creation that God has intended them to be.

I always focus on the character of the person, more so than the body. Women rates, who you shot with, your negotiation, looks, etc.... don't even start to apply until the above points are taken into careful consideration, practiced then applied.

IT ALL SHOWS IN THE PHOTOGRAPH. PERIOD.

There are some things that photographers can't add and some things that the 'model' shouldn't.

Martina is the loveliest (and most sensual - yet very modest...can you believe that..) model I have worked with in a long long time.

We covered a variety of themes, Artistic, Glamour, Art, Classical Nude themes, lots of powerful head/portrait shots.

Had a unique opportunity to happen upon a rather interesting nest, take a look in the nature section for the images of a very interesting bird....

As my style grows and develops (and I am in the studio for the winter....burrrr!) You'll get to see a little more of Tiffany artististry under less severe conditions.

Had a shoot with her yesterday (only 1 1/2 hours versus our 7+ hour nature treks which can be quite exausting (and destructive to rather expensive professional digital camera gear). Though a short shoot, it proved quite creative.
